The two broken halfs may be dangling next to eachother but you can see they won't be able to fit together again; that might be how one concieves one's own depression; nothing fits together and the conviction it never will is fixed, static. Antidepressive medicine would then be the bandaid you apply to hold the halfs together but they aren't really attached.

This and other great pieces of yours reminds me of David Lynch's paintings; I adore some of his earlier films -Eraserhead, BlueVelvet, etc.- but his paintings are even better.
