My Process for Egg Stringing
First drink a beer, ale is best, lagger is ok.
Split brain cells and hatch an idea. Quick sketch in case the beer wears off and the idea vanishes.
Grab a fresh canvas board. Size applicable to the idea.
Paint the background. Let it dry
..
Boil a hard-boiled egg.
Plug in the hot glue gun.
Cut some cotton butchers string.
Hot glue the string to the egg.
Hang the egg from the easel and on the canvas.
Move the swing arm lamp and the easel till I get the shadow I want.
Take a series of pictures varying the settings on the digital camera.
Transfer the pictures to the computer.
Pick the picture I like for the piece.
Print the picture and clip it to the easel or canvas.
Freehand paint the egg and string to the background on the canvas.
Enjoy a beer or two through the process.
Check Deviant art at breaks to distract from the frustration of aging eyes.
Bifocals are great till your neck stiffens and your eyes find it hard to adjust.
Get back to business of painting.
Sign the damn thing!
Take some photos, load them on the computer, and crop the chosen one.
Post the chosen to DeviantArt and wait for the comments and see how others interpret the art.
~ The fried egg on Psychotherapy I actually fried the egg on an old cookie sheet because of the contrast I got.
Then photographed the fried egg.
Then painted the fried egg onto the canvas.
Then taped string to the painting.
Photographed it with the shadows.
Then painted the string and shadows.
Yes they are and will be all painted from real sources.
They are not Photo Manipulations.
Enjoy Cheers!

I've been doing a lot of abstract painting lately. Extremely abstract. No brush, no paint, no canvas. I just think about it.
